Step 1
Dredge the chicken breasts in flour seasoned with salt and black pepper.
Step 2
Heat olive oil and 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside on a plate.

Add the remaining butter to the skillet and cook the shallots over low heat until they soften.

Add garlic and cook for 1 minute or until fragrant.

Pour the chicken broth, apple brandy, sliced apples, heavy cream, thyme, and nutmeg into the skillet. Stir to combine and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat and let the sauce simmer for 5 minutes or until it thickens.

Add the chicken breasts back to the skillet and spoon the sauce over them.
