Preheat the oven to 375°F

In a medium bowl, mix together the chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter until well combined.

Press the mixture onto the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan and bake for 8-10 minutes until firm.

Let the crust cool completely before filling.

Spread the softened vanilla ice cream on top of the cooled crust.

Place the pan in the freezer for 30 minutes to set.

Spread the softened chocolate ice cream on top of the vanilla layer.

Cover the pan with foil and freeze for 4 hours or overnight, until the cake is firm.

Just before serving, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together in a large bowl until stiff peaks form.
